PIECEMEAL had to be one of the most exciting
Straight-Edge metal/hardcore bands to ever
hit Boston. Discovered by WONDERDRUG, they
were signed immediately and put into the
studio with producer Ken Cmar. Determined
to take the band beyond the repetitiveness
and sameness that plagues most Straight-edge
bands, the result was an album that owed
as much to Iron Maiden as it does Earth Crisis.
Traditional metal riffage and dueling guitar
harmonies lay the backdrop to angst-ridden
lyrics about the trials of the straight-edge
lifestyle. A blazingly original blend of
metal and XXX hardcore.

PIECEMEAL / DIE MY WILL - Split CDEP 1999
CD $6.00
PIECEMEAL tracks produced and engineered
by Ken Cmar. DIE MY WILL tracks produced
and engineered by Todd Reynolds.
Salem, MA's PIECEMEAL had been ripped up
the east coast by opening for such artists
as Converge and Earth Crisis. These three
new tracks were even more intense than their
full-length, and the DIE MY WILL tracks represent
a heavier direction for the band that I'm
sure you will enjoy to the fullest!

PIECEMEAL - "Somewhere between Crucifixion
and Resurrection Lies Redemption" 1998
CD $8.00
Produced and Engineered by Ken Cmar.
"This is some evil sounding tunage from
Salem, MA - home of the witch trials. How
can I explain this sound - this disc definitely
falls into that ever-expanding "metal-core"
category, but Piecemeal is really better
than most of those bands. I could say something
trite like "file next to Earth Crisis
or One King Down", but that really wouldn't
do these guys justice. Now that you have
a vague idea of which sound I speak of, let
me say that Piecemeal sound like they invented
it." - HEXBENDER
