a furnace of Rock N' Roll, SUPERKOLLIDER
has exploded onto Boston's heavy music scene.
Combining the rawness of hardcore and the
intricate timing of metal, these four scientists
of rock are redefining what a four piece
band can do. Their songs are about the pessimism, anxiety, and the human race. In the vein of bands like HELMET, SUPERKOLLIDER's drummer, Kevin Torstensen, lays down hard hitting beats of strict intensity. With countless stopping and starting riffs, guitarist Erik Markarian tunes down to a dropped C in order to exude the crushing force of pure heaviness. Bassist Michael Allen keeps the low end breathing with fullness and vigor. Finally, Terry Boisclair transcends most heavy vocalists by not only pushing the envelope with cathartic screams, but also bringing an ethereal style to the microphone. SUPERKOLLIDER has already begun tearing it up on stages throughout the New England area with bands like TREE.
